The property presented significant grading issues, but with careful planning and design, we maximized the usable space while addressing these obstacles. The result was an impressive outdoor area that perfectly balances privacy, comfort, and style.

Our project began with an in-depth consultation to understand the client’s vision. They wanted a private, functional outdoor space where they could relax and entertain, while also tackling the uneven terrain that had previously limited the yard’s potential. After evaluating the site, we developed a strategic design plan that prioritized both aesthetics and practicality, ensuring the space could be fully enjoyed year-round.
Key Features of the Project
Trex Deck with Privacy Screens
The foundation of this outdoor transformation was the installation of a Trex deck using the premium Trex Signature line. Known for its durability, low maintenance, and eco-friendly properties, the deck serves as the centrepiece of the outdoor area. To enhance privacy, we installed Hideaway privacy screens that not only provide seclusion but also add a modern design element to the space.
Funky Shade Pergola
With the client’s request to address the intense afternoon sun, we designed and built a custom pergola made from Douglas Fir. The pergola, with its unique, funky design, offers much-needed shade while adding a striking architectural feature to the space. Its natural wood finish contrasts beautifully with the sleek, modern lines of the deck and privacy screens, creating a perfect blend of rustic and contemporary design.
Interlocked Patio
The final touch to the transformation was the installation of a carefully crafted interlocked patio. This patio not only extends the usable space but also adds texture and visual interest to the outdoor area. The interlocking stones were selected for their durability and complement the overall aesthetic of the project, ensuring a seamless transition between the deck and patio.
