Giving Back to the Community Through Construction

Green Side Up Contracting Inc., a multi-year award-winning Trex Pro Platinum Composite Deck Builder, Permacon Paver installer, and pool contractor, has once again demonstrated its commitment to giving back to the community. As part of their End-of-Season Blowout Sale, Green Side Up Contracting successfully raised $20,000 for The Aurora Food Pantry, helping to provide essential food resources to local families in need.

A Commitment to Helping Others

Recognizing the increasing financial struggles faced by many in the GTA, Green Side Up Contracting made it their mission to donate 5% of all construction revenue from September 9th to December 31st, 2024, to The Aurora Food Pantry. The goal was ambitious but clear: raise $20,000 by the end of the year to support families struggling with food insecurity.

Owner Jay and the Green Side Up team were deeply moved by the challenges many families are experiencing. “We are incredibly fortunate to have food on our table and a warm place to rest, but not everyone in our community shares that privilege. We knew we had to do something impactful, and this donation will help provide immediate relief to those who need it most,” he said.

Supporting Local Families Through Quality Construction

The initiative was designed to benefit both clients and the community. Homeowners who booked their projects during the donation period received free upgrades, flexible deferred payment options, and the satisfaction of knowing that a portion of their investment was directly supporting local families in need.

This is not the first time Green Side Up Contracting has made a significant charitable contribution. In January 2022, the company donated $7,000 to Welcoming Arms, another organization dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable members of the community.

“Our success is tied to the communities we serve,” Jay added. “We will continue to support local organizations and give back whenever we can.”
