Master Bedroom Oasis Ideas

Choosing a theme or motif for your master bedroom is not a task that you should make swiftly and without thought or planning. You ultimately spend a third of your lifetime in your bedroom so it should be a welcoming / comforting environment that you can relax in.  Some people end up using their bedrooms as storage units or places where they just throw clothes around but your master bedroom holds way more potential. We’re sharing our ideas for beautiful master bedrooms in 2023.

Colours

It’s important to keep things light and classic for your master bedroom. Light blue, pale grey, yellow and white are typically good choices – especially if you want that oasis ambiance. A splash of a contrasting stark colour in the art above your bed can break it up and add another colour to your room. Speaking of art, it’s a good idea to avoid big blank walls, as it will make the room feel empty and daunting. Conversely, don’t over do it trying to cover every single blank space, as it will feel too overwhelming and busy.

The View

Always position your room according to where your window is. Let that natural light fill the room and position your bed to maximize the view outside. This will particularly give your room that “oasis” ambiance you’re seeking. If you don’t have a window in your room – try to compensate for that by adding bright natural lights that add a warm, nice touch.

Floors

Nowadays, carpeted floors are slightly out of touch and too traditional. The modern approach is to have your hard wood or laminate floors exposed. But if that is not to your liking, you can also have an area rug positioned underneath your bed to prevent scratches and to add some colour and texture. Also make sure that your rug extends beyond the side of your bed so you can place your feet there in the mornings.

These master bedroom oasis ideas will surely keep you occupied and hopefully spark more creative designs.
